Boosterthon Rewards
Students enjoyed Mrs. Siegel's RAINBOW MOHAWK today along with Kona Ice. Mrs. Adkison's class chose the hairstyle for Mrs. Siegel because they had the most pledges on the last day!
Kona Ice was for everyone because we reached our $30,000 goal.
Sign up for Staff Appreciation Pie Day!
As a big thank you to all of the teachers and staff for their hard work with our kids, we will be donating a pie for each teacher/staff member of their choice before they head off to Thanksgiving Break!
No need for fancy packing as all the pies will be repackaged. Pies should be 8-9" in disposable pie tins. Store bought or homemade is totally fine although be careful not to get over-sized pies - they won't fit in the fancy packing. :) (NO COSTCO PIES)
Please sign-up to provide pies the morning of November 22nd by dropping the pies off when the office opens! We will also need volunteers to assist us with repackaging and distributing the yummy pies. We need at least 80 pies so let's get to baking Riojas Parents!

PTO Updates
We are so excited to "Fall into Fun" in November and December. This is our favorite time of year because it is all about giving and being thankful. We have officially slowed the fund raising train to turn to holiday activities and we can't wait for you all to participate. We have thankful pies for staff, our annual holiday gift prep for the staff, and the kids favorite event of the year - the holiday marketplace. All these activities take a ton of help so you will find links to several sign-up genius below. Happy Fall! Look forward to seeing you at one of these many volunteer opportunities.

Daily Conversations With Your Child
Questions for Great Conversations with Your Child
- What book did your teacher read out loud today? What was the story about?
- Who did you play with at recess today?
- What did you learn about in Science?
- What math strategies did you try today?
- Which specials class (Art, Music, PE) did you go to today? What did you do there?
- Did you go to the library? What books did you see?
Changes In Going Home
If you are changing the way your child goes home, you must communicate that to the front office staff by stopping by the office or calling the office. Please do not send an email. Our teachers are busy teaching and helping students and often do not check their email throughout the day. The office communicates changes to our staff close to the end of the school day, but all changes must be reported to the office before 1pm. This helps us ensure a safe dismissal for all students.
