Update on Chrystal:
Let's push hard for a strong turnout for our hat day this week, so we can bless this family even more.
Random Thoughts:
As the days get too cold for outside recess, please know there is a small window of time you may sign up to use the gym, if you want. However, one thing we may not do is have our special program staff, MTA, SPED, GT, media specialist, cover your indoor recess or even "watch" students during this time. Everyone has a busy schedule and this may have been the practice in the past, and I appreciate willingness from staff, but this cannot continue. Sometimes it is hard for our friends to say this isn't something they can do, so please do not put them in that spot. Thank you for understanding.
I will be out in tomorrow afternoon for a SI principal meeting in Flower Mound and all day Wednesday for Principal U. I promise I like you guys and enjoy being on campus, but it seems like I am off campus more than I am on campus these days (and that makes me super sad!!).
Koby will be on campus Tuesday for Literacy Walks. Our Literacy Check-Ins have been going well. I appreciate everyone giving up their time and doing such a great job with our time together discussing reading and with your guided reading instruction.
There are several guided reading lesson plan templates out there. Your plans do not need a ton of in depth detail, but enough that a team member or person from the district would be able to see levels and skills being targeted.
From Amy Edwards:
The next Superintendent meeting is on December 3rd.
The two topics that will be discussed are: Restorative Practices and Counseling practices.
Please let me know if you have any concerns, comments, or compliments regarding those 2 topics.
