Adapted Community Recreation
Columbia Parks and Recreation offers adapted recreation programs (Adapted Community Recreation), located at Stuart Parker Housing Development (formerly Paquin Tower), and is designed for individuals with special needs. The program is open to the community. Also offered, is Adapted Sports housed at the Activity and Recreation Center (ARC). If you wish to participate in any Parks and Recreation activity, yet feel you may need some special accommodation, please call the office.

Adapted Sports
The City of Columbia offers numerous sports to individuals with special needs. Competitions are through Special Olympics, however, competing is not required for participation. When you register, please be sure that your athlete has a current physical and release form. New participants must schedule a New Athlete Meeting prior to participation. To schedule a new athlete meeting, contact Jessica Sida.

Baskin Robbins
Take a stroll with us from Paquin Tower to Baskin Robins on May 5 at 2 pm. Please sign up in the office.
Westlake and Steak N Shake
Its time for our annual trip to Westlakes! We'll leave Paquin on May 9 at 10:30 am and we'll also stop by Steak N Shake for a bite to eat. Please sign up in the office with your current Rec Card.
DIY All purpose cleaner
Learn how to create your own all purpose cleaner on May 11 at 3 pm. Supplies are provided. Studio fee is $2. Please sign up in advance.

Movies in the Park--Zootopia
The city of Zootopia is a mammal metropolis where animals live and thrive. When Judy Hopps becomes the first rabbit to join the police force, she is determined to prove herself. Judy jumps at the opportunity to solve a mysterious case- all the while, Nick, a wily fox who makes her job even harder.
Concessions will be available.

Adapted Bell Choir
Learn how to play the melody chimes on May 15 at 3:30 pm. We'll meet in the lobby of Paquin Tower.
Seed bombs
Learn to create seeds pods as gifts for friends and family on May 19 at 1 pm. All supplies will be provided. Studio fee is $2. Please sign up in advance.
Dance at the ARC
Join us at the ARC for a fun night of great music and lots of dancing on May 26 at 6:30 pm. Snacks will be provided. Cost is $5.00 at the door and is located at 1701 W. Ash St. Columbia, MO 65203.
Cooking with Anna
Meet Anna in the Paquin kitchen on April 26 at 5 pm for a fun lesson in cooking. Different recipes will be tried every month.
Columbia Mall
Time for some shopping!! We'll head to the Columbia Mall on May 23 at 10 am. Please sign up in the office with a current Rec Card.
Biscuits and Gravy
Breakfast will be served on May 26 at 9 am. B&G will be $2.00/plate.
Happy Hour Fitness (HHF)
Happy Hour Fitness is a small group that meets Monday through Friday at 3 pm to be more active. Fridays are chair yoga days the other days are open to suggestion!
Unofficial Paquin Movie Group
The movie group will meet in the lobby of Paquin every Tuesday evening at 6 pm. Movies shown will be voted on the week before and popcorn will be provided.
