Midway Elementary School Students and Teachers Rev Up for NEA's Read Across America Day Friday March 2, 2018
We need you to help us keep the reading going! Our goal is to have readers at Midway every 30 minutes!
Can you sign up for a 30-minute time slot to read to 2-3 classes? You can bring your own books or books will be available for you to read. Talk to the students about the importance of reading at your job and for pleasure.
Weather permitting, we will read outside in the bus loop but if necessary, inside at the wi-fi café.

Here is some background for Read Across America Day:
It began in 1997 with the idea from an NEA's task to have a pep rally for reading. So the idea of Read Across America Day, which celebrates Dr. Seuss's birthday and the joys of reading, was born. Today we expect more than 45 million readers, both young and old, to pick up a book and read.
For more information NEA's Read Across America, visit www.nea.org/readacross and www.readacrossamerica.org and learn of other reading celebrations that are happening from coast to coast.
