Counselor's Corner
February 14th - February 18th
Classroom Counseling
This week I had classroom lessons with PreK, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. In PreK and Kindergarten we read Little Spot of Love and students created their own "spot". 1st graders read Listening Ninja and completed a ninja maze, and 2nd graders learned 14 coping skills using our coping skills snowman.
Next week will be a fun week of Lunch Bunch! Then I will see 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade for their classroom lessons the week of February 21st and we will work on growth mindset.
Our Character word is HOPEFUL
Students will learn that being hopeful is feeling or inspiring optimism about a future event.
THANK YOU!
I felt so much love and appreciation as we celebrated National School Counselor Week!
I am reminded each day how lucky I am to be your child's school counselor and to be a Jackson Tiger. Thank you for sharing your student(s) with me.
