Anasazi- 500-1200 ad
Constructed dam, ditches, and canals to trap rain and channel to gardens on canyon floor. Made houses of stone and rocks. Craftsmen made jewelry, pottery, and woven hampers. The central of the civilization was Pueblo Bonito, and there was a huge complex of more than 1000 people.
Adena
Lived in the Ohio region around 700 bc. Tribe grew sunflowers, squash, barley, and gourds. Produced fine pottery and copper jewelry.
Hopewell
Arrived in Ohio around 300 bc. Made huge mounds that were about 40 feet tall and 100 feet wide. Both tribes Adena and Hopewell were referred to as "mound builders".
