8th Grade Picnic Permission Slips
Parents of 8th Graders... Please view the bellow letter from our principal about the 8th Grade Picnic. This letter and the field trip permission slip form are being handed out to students today, 4/16, and the signed permission slip and any donations are due by Tuesday, 4/30. Thank you for your support!
iReady Diagnostic 3 Testing This Month
During the month of April all students will be taking the iReady Diagnostic 3 in Math and Reading. The iReady diagnostics are taken in the fall, winter, and spring and enable students, staff, and parents to better understand where students stand in terms of their knowledge, skill, and ability in Math and English.

Special Minimum Day on April 26th
There is a special Minimum Day scheduled for Pine Hollow students on Friday, April 26th. This is the last day of the 4th Quarter progress period, and staff will be collaborating after students leave school. The special minimum day schedule has school ending at 11:45am, and bag lunches will be available for purchase in the MUR from 11:45-12:15pm.
Please note that on these days the County Connection buses will follow their normal schedule, so you will need to arrange for alternate transportation if necessary. The bell schedule for this special minimum day is as follows:
CAASPP Testing Begins in May
The Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments are part of the state testing system called the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress or CAASPP. The CAASPP System is designed to give information to teachers, students, and their families about what students know and are able to do and whether they are on track to be ready for success in college or career when they graduate from high school. Open House Set for May 8th
This year, Open House will be held on Wednesday, May 8. All students, families, community members, and future students/families are encouraged to attend. We will have food trucks on site, a book fair in the Multi Use Room, and other activities to make it a great evening for our entire community! Here is the tentative agenda for the evening:
- 4:30 = Food Trucks Open / Book Fair Opens
- 5:30 = Incoming 6th Grade Presentation for Students and Parents in Gym
- 6:00 = Incoming 6th Graders and Parents Visit Classrooms
- 6:30 = Open House Begins for Current 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade students and families
- 7:30 = Food Trucks Close
- 8:00 = Open House Ends
