MAMMOTH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
WE ARE MOVING MOUNTAINS FOR OUR KIDS!
MARCH NEWSLETTER
Our Student Disposition for March & April is COMMUNICATION. so in the spirit of communication, we are starting this month off with good news. The CDPH has released school masking guidelines from "required" to "strongly recommended". Starting Monday, March 14th all students and staff can make their own personal decisions on whether to mask or not at school. Masks are still available and we will respect everyone's choice about masking. Please keep in mind we still have COVID transmission and are still following all guidance.
We are hoping for a "miracle March" and lots of snow this month. On the other hand, our boys' soccer team just left today for the playoffs and baseball, softball and track season has just begun. Let's get outside and enjoy some winter and spring sports!
Lots of great things happening at our schools!
- MES had their first small science fair and is beginning Career Exploration in the library.
- Middle School is showing a series of films at school for our students' social-emotional support.
- Mammoth High School staff is beginning their WASC accreditation report.
- Sierra High School is planning a field trip to the University of Nevada, Reno and Truckee Meadows Community College.
- MUSD is developing Parent Workshops (see survey below) and has already begun planning for next year. We are also starting an LGBTQ Youth Advocacy group and considering how to develop a just-for-fun (and professional growth) Teacher Leader Team.
Hope you "march" into a fabulous month of learning, fun and adventure!
