Camp Invention
A STEM Camp Program for Grades K-6 at Brooklyn Stem Academy from June 3-7, 9AM-3:30PM. A confidence-boosting STEM summer camp where kids build creative inventions and lasting friendships. South Elementary Clubs/Teams
MATH Bowl
MATH Bowl meets on Thursdays after school until 4:30PM. The MATH BOWL competition will be on April 9th at 5:30PM at Bell Intermediate Academy. Participants should arrive by 5PM. Good Luck South Dolphins!
LEAP Club
LEAP (Learning Enrichment Activities Program) Club will meet on Wednesday, April 24th after school in the library until 4:45PM. Leap Club is for South High Ability students in grades 1-4. Students can attend gatherings when they are available or based on their interest in the activity we will be doing that month. They do not have to attend every month if they do not want to!
THIS WILL BE THE LAST ONE FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR.
Art Honors Club
Art honors is an invitational club for students who exhibit outstanding artistic abilities to have a chance to try more rigorous art projects.

eLearning Day (asynchronous)
This type of day is not live instruction. Students will access posted learning materials in Seesaw or Google Classroom. Lessons should be completed within five school days to count as present for the day. eLearning days do not require students to participate in Zoom calls at designated times.
Real Time Learning Day (synchronous)
This type of day is live instruction from teachers at designated times. Students are expected to join live instruction at specified times to receive instruction and attendance confirmation. See the schedule below.

Title I Information
Please welcome Jessica Shanafelt as our new Title I teacher! We are excited that Ms. Shanafelt is returning to South.
Federal funding has been made available through school-wide Title I services to South Elementary for the purpose of providing students with extra support in reading and language arts. This extra support is available for all students at South Elementary. Classroom teachers, Title I teachers, and instructional assistants will provide assistance in reading, language arts, and math through small group and individual instruction as children demonstrate need for support.
