The Central Scoop
August 21, 2020
From the Principal's Desk...
Dear Parents,
I would like to start off by saying thank you for your patience and understanding as we’ve continued to design what school will look like for our community. We have been overwhelmed by the families who have reached out to offer support in the work that must be done prior to the launch of our school year. Your positivity, care, and partnership is what is going to make this school year excellent for our students.
Looking ahead, we can't wait to bring our Central School Family back together! While this will be a unique year of learning, we are committed to making it a successful one for your children whether you are in person or learning remotely.
Please see below for important updates for this coming school year. I will be sending all families a weekly Central Scoop each Friday.
With Warm Regards,
~ Becky

Care for School Age Children Update
On August 13, Wilmette Public Schools District 39 Board of Education decided to amend the previously discussed Reopening Plan. The new plan provides for a slower transition into in-person learning for grades K-8 during the first few weeks of the school year.
With the announcement for remote learning at the start of the 2020-21 school year, the Wilmette Park District is making arrangements to offer a recreation-based enrichment program with self-directed learning in mind. We are still finalizing details and expect to have further information available towards the end of next week.
We anticipate the program to grow and develop alongside restrictions and changes made by the Wilmette Public Schools District 39. Our staff will work with families as best we can in these challenging times. If you have any additional questions, please contact us at info@wilpark.org.
