Deerfield Students Get a Close Look at Some Furry and (Not-So-Furry) Friends
Last week, Deerfield Elementary students in our lower SAILS, TK, and Kindergarten classes had a visit from Mr. Randy Baker from Naturalist Endeavors. Mr. Baker discussed life cycles and basic needs of living things. The students were able to see white tail deer antlers, coyote fur, a tiger salamander, wood frogs, a bullfrog, snapping turtle eggs, two baby snapping turtles, a 12 year old snapping turtle, a ball python, a pigeon, and a European ferret! The students loved meeting all of the animals!
