Boone Daily Post
March 25, 2020
Dear Families and Friends of Boone School,
Going forward we plan to send out issues of this "Boone Daily Post" as a frequent communication that will provide students and families with some fun and educational ideas. We hope these updates will help to keep us unified as a school, share our resources and ideas, and help all of our minds and bodies to stay active and healthy.
Each Daily Post will also be found on our Boone Twitter and Facebook feeds that are linked to www.boone.cps.edu if you would like to see previous issues. At the bottom of each Daily Post there will be a survey where everyone is invited to share ideas for what you are working on at home, and what you would like to see in future communications from us. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Peace and health,
Jackie Delaney, Principal

Doodle with Mo Willems
Boonies, we know how many of you love the books of Mo Willems! You know, Elephant and Piggie, and that Pigeon that wants to drive the bus--those are Mo Willems books. See below for a cool opportunity every weekday to doodle with the author!
From the Kennedy Center: LUNCH DOODLES with Mo Willems!
Mo Willems invites YOU into his studio every day for his LUNCH DOODLE. Learners worldwide can draw, doodle and explore new ways of writing by visiting Mo’s studio virtually once a day for the next few weeks. Grab some paper and pencils, pens, or crayons and join Mo to explore ways of writing and making together. If you post your art to social media, be sure to hashtag it with #MoLunchDoodles!
New episodes will be posted each weekday at 12:00 p.m. CST and then remain online to be streamed afterwards. Check out a recent episode below, and check back each weekday for new LUNCH DOODLES!
