Distance Learning Updates for the Week of April 13th
Principal's Message
Dear Wolfsville Community,
Our #1 goal throughout this distance learning period is to is to provide the best services and support to our students and families under these difficult circumstances. We know this isn't easy, and we certainly know it is taking time to establish routines and work through some of the early challenges of learning from home.
- If you are confused with assignments or technology platforms, please reach out for support.
- If you're experiencing family hardships and it is important for us to understand your circumstances, please reach out.
- Are you feeling stuck in your home school situation? We have gathered some tips: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11LkMTIXjNCaSZyAo8SH1RLe4bLKOwsJXj2qsFJVR_WY/edit?ts=5e8616d8.
Together we will rise !
Yours in Education,
Megan Stein, Principal

Lexia Core5 as a Literacy Resource
Wolfsville Elementary has been using the Lexia Core5 Reading program this year to support students’ individual reading needs in all grades. Many teachers are adding this to their required Schoology lessons, but students may also access this online learning program in addition to assignments.
We highly recommend that each student keep moving forward in the program as it will reinforce previously learned skills and then instruct students on new skills as they are ready. Children can work on this program independently but if you find your child struggling, or would like to know how they are keeping up with their weekly minutes, please feel free to email Mrs. Cassidy at kathleen.cassidy@fcps.org.
We have included a link if you would like to learn more.
40 Book Challenge
We will be continuing our 40 books challenge and will have a plan to celebrate everyone that continues to read during their continuity of instruction. Students may add anything that they read, including things their teacher assigned, as this reading has become independent as well.
Record all the books that you are reading on this chart and keep your book list going. You can make a list on any paper or use the online site Beanstack on our media center page. We will let you know about the celebration once we know when we will be back together again.
