The plan will cost $30 per device each school year, which includes an initial repair (additional repairs if needed will be $20 per incident), and limits the fee for replacement. Parents/ Guardians who choose not to purchase the Device Protection Plan are 100% responsible for all repair and replacement costs.
It is recommended that parents purchase the Device Protection Plan to minimize any costs that may arise during the school year. Payment for the Device Protection Plan must be made by Friday, September 11 to be active for the 2020-2021 school year. Payment can be made online through TouchBase or at the Bookstore.

CVHS Counselor's Corner
The Counseling Department would like to thank our parents and guardians for allowing their students to advocate for themselves. We enjoy hearing from our students and listening to their voices. It allows us the ability to get to know what matters to them and who they are. Self-advocacy is an adult survival skill that is best practiced when the adults in their lives can coach them through this practice, instead of advocating for their students first. Freshman year is a great time to start practicing self-advocacy and can continue to be honed in their Sophomore and Junior years. By their Senior year, students should know who to go to for their various school-related needs, such as a letter of recommendation, and how to request it.
Similar to the adult world, students will hear denial and rejection that may not be personal. This offers an opportunity for learning and growth. Does the HOA or city always approve plans? Does the bank always grant credit or loans? Does an interview guarantee the job? As educators, we work to help prepare students to navigate the adult world by teaching these invaluable skills of self-advocacy and resilience and we ask our parents/guardians to partner with our endeavor.
At times, it will be challenging and uncomfortable for the student and/or parent. Every time adults step in and take over, the opportunity for the student to inquire, navigate, create, accept and move forward is lost. Let’s stand with them, listen to them, guide them, and coach them. Then watch and celebrate how they become resilient.
Counselors are correcting schedule errors before the 1st day of school such as, missing class periods, missing required academic courses, having duplicate courses, and others. All non error requests will be referred to the Change of Course Request form. Students are welcome to email their counselors with their questions and concerns. Emails will be addressed within 24-48 business hours.

All requests are reviewed and considered except for teacher, lunch and classes with friends. Submission of the form does not mean that an automatic change will take place. The form will close on Wednesday, August 12 at 3:30 pm.
