Roald Dahl Day- Sept. 13
International Dot Day Week of Sept. 15 http://www.thedotclub.org/dotday/ This links with so many of our beliefs- each ES grade level has a copy of the book
Comic Book Day/Curiosity Day- Sept. 25
Global Read Aloud begins Sept. 30 http://www.globalreadaloud.com/ This is a 6 week event that is geared for EC-Grade 12 students and links classrooms around the world
Read for the Record Day- Oct. 2 (a US thing, but anyone can join- good cause) http://www.jstart.org/campaigns/read-record
Show a Book Day- Oct. 23- more details to follow
Picture Book Month (November)- I will be running a mock Caldecott event (as last year)- let me know if you want to join- it will continue until the end of January
I have plans for my class to Skype with many authors and illustrators throughout the year- if you would like more info let me know
