Return to Learn: Blended Experience
We welcomed our first graders back into the halls of Freeman this past week during the afternoons and in preparations for Pre-K and Kindergarten students to return the week of November 16th.
As students start returning, please note a couple things: we will not be opening car doors for students so we ask that they practice opening the door from inside the vehicle as well as pushing it closed (fingers away from edge). Also, for the car line, please remain in your vehicle the entire time, if possible. Once more families return, the traffic does flow pretty regularly.
As we want everyone to feel safe and understand updated procedures, we have created videos for what you can expect as we bring students back. We encourage you to watch these with your students if they are returning to school for in-person instruction. Some of this communication is grade level specific and will be updated as each group phases back into the building. We will send out a separate newsletter geared towards re-entry specific information for each grade level.
District communication has also been updated on the district website. Please continue to check SD129's Blended Experience Webpage for up to date information and current guidance.
SD129 Student Health Screener
If your child will be returning for in-person instruction, please make sure you have created an account for health screenings. Please see below for more detailed information.
Due to COVID-19 state and local guidelines, a student symptom check will be required before your student is permitted to attend class in one of our school buildings. Instructions to create your account and add your students to your profile is included in the video and infographic linked below.
