Cell Phones
Our grade level has seen an increase in students bringing cell phones and smartwatches to school. Students are allowed to have these on campus but these electronics should be turned off and put away in lockers during the instructional day. Phone watches need to be turned off and put away during the day as well. This is to ensure safe and uninterrupted instruction during the day. Students are allowed to turn on their electronic devices at the end of the instructional day. If any parents need to get in contact with their children during the day, please contact our front office at (254)316-5000. They will be sure to get in contact with homeroom teachers and leave a message for your child by the end of the school day.

Ronald McDonald House Donation Drive
Thank you for your donations! They are very much appreciated.
Mrs. Hughes' class won the grade level competition and chose for our counselors to kiss a pig. The campus met our overall goal so Mrs. Sniffin will also be taped to a wall or flag pole.
Chromebooks π»
We are continuing to learn how to use our Chromebooks and be independent with them. There are many new programs that are being integrated into lessons that our students are learning how to use too. Some students have also received accounts for Reading Eggs to give them extra reading practice. Notes with log in information should have come home in backpack mail. All students may do extra practice on programs such as IXL at home. It is easiest to log in through their Classlink accounts as usernames and passwords are already saved. Instructions for Classlink can be found below.

Reminders
- Water bottles are allowed and recommended. Labeling water bottles with your child's name would be super helpful. Please make sure they are water bottles that have lids that are easy to open, close, and remain closed when not being used.
- Healthy snacks may be eaten during recess. Recess will be indoors or outdoors depending on any extreme weather we are experiencing.
- Students need headphones or earbuds in order to clearly hear their Chromebooks as they are using them for many of their assignments during the school day. These help students to be able to work independently on their computer assignments without the distraction and interruptions of others. These do not have to be super fancy. Over the ear headphones do seem to work better for our grade level. Labeling these would be super helpful as some kids do bring the same headphones.
- Homework for our grade level will be reading at least 20 minutes every night and the occasional math practice. The math practice will be on new math concepts that we have worked on and practiced in class. Homework is not given for a grade.
