Literacy Week
This week is Literacy Week!
See the schedule below to see what there is planned each day during the week to celebrate literacy. Please reach out to Jessica if you have any question.
Monday:
Mentor Text Monday: Do a read aloud from your favorite children’s book. Have kids bring their favorite book for independent reading. Mrs. Maus will be on the news to do a fun read aloud.
Tuesday:
Tweet our Tuesday: tweet out pictures of what reading looks like in your classroom. Tag @pascoliteracy
Wednesday:
Wear your words Wednesday: wear a new vocabulary word to school (it can just be a word with a definition, not as in-depth as the vocab parade)
Thursday:
Thoughtful Quote Thursday: Share your favorite quote from a book with your class.
Friday:
Find yourself in a book Friday: Take a picture of yourself reading a book with your class and send it to me.
Raffle Prize will be drawn for those who participate.
IRLA Level Checks
IRLA level checks will continue this week.
The person on the level check team will ask your students the following questions:

- What is your power goal?
- How do you practice your power goal?
- What are you reading right now? Why?
