Perry High School
Newsletter #23 (2/28/19)
Message from the Principal
The month of February is about to come to a close, and as we get ready to turn the calendar to March, we've certainly got quite a bit to recognize and celebrate. Our student groups and athletic teams continue to impress us all with their amazing talents. We look forward to their growth and accomplishments in the weeks ahead.
Thank you for all that you do for our students, our school, and our community.
As always, thank you for your support. Go Panthers!!!
Link Crew - Corn Hole Tournament
With this in mind, our Link Crew Coordinators will be hosting a Corn Hole Tournament on Friday, March 1st (6:00-8:30 PM) in the PHS Wellness Center. There will be three separate divisions (Grades 7-8, Grades 9-12, and Adult). A registration fee of $10 for a 2-person team is needed in order to participate and proceeds for the evening will go towards the Link Crew and The Hayden's Story: Hayden Porter Foundation to help offset costs of the program.
A registration flyer is attached to this week's email and we're looking forward to a wonderful turnout for this event.

In addition, the following wrestlers advanced to this weekend's Districts at North Canton: Drew Dulcie, Jason Waller, Jake Williams, Sam Thompson, Darese Sparkman, Ralph Scott, Logan Shephard, Jarin Curtis and Max Millin. We wish everyone the best of luck as they continue on with their season.
Perry Active Gym
Thanks to a group of Physical Education staff members, parents, and administration, the idea of creating an "open gym" format for our Perry special needs students outside of the school day has been developed. The goal is to create a place where students (Pre K - 12th grade) can meet others and participate in a variety of fun physical activities in a relaxed atmosphere. As a result of this collaborative effort, the Perry Active Gym was designed.
A flyer with specific details is attached to this week's emailed newsletter. In addition, families may also register their special needs student through the following link: http://bit.ly/perryactivegym. Please feel free to contact Anna Ziccardi (Physical Education Department Chair) for further details.
