The Patriot Parent Connection
2020-2021 School Year: Volume 37 - Week of May 24
Dear Liberty Families,
It has been an honor to serve as the principal of Liberty this year and to lead and love your children and our staff through this unprecedented year. Thank you to our supportive families who have partnered with us every step of the way. I hope you all have a wonderful, safe summer! I wish our 8th graders happiness & success in high school. I wish our families moving on to other schools next year a great experience as you finish out the middle school years. And I eagerly await welcoming back our returning Patriots in August. Returning Families: Be on the lookout for Open House and Camp Liberty information this summer.
Sincerely,
Amanda Thrower, Principal

A Note from the Patriot Clinic
If you have medication in the clinic, please plan to stop by and pick it up before 3:00pm on Thursday, May 27th. A parent must pick these up. Students are not allowed to carry any medications. Any medication left after the end of the school year must be discarded per FDA regulations.
The county requires new medical forms EVERY school year for every student that has a listed medical condition. With each new school year, it is necessary to update all medical files in the school clinic. If your child has a medical condition (i.e. allergy, asthma, seizure, diabetes, or other specialized care) that needs to be treated at school, please have these forms completed and signed by your physician over the summer and turn them in during orientation week. Remember that in order to carry emergency medication, you must also have the “Authorization for Student to Carry” form completed by the physician as well. If your child has a health condition on file that has been resolved, please let the school nurse know.
You can locate these forms on the LMS web site by clicking here: Health Care Forms
Feel free to call or email me with any questions.
