Sprague School
The Art of Coding
Sprague students have been busy programming their robots to move forward, sideways, blink, and even burp. It's all part of the instructional activities taught within the school's library. With the support of Library Media Specialist Ms. Lauren Lenzini and Instructional Technology Coach Mr. Simon Vasey, students use block coding to create and run programs. Each year, as they progress through Sprague, students engage in more complex coding and robotics work. Kindergartners are learning the basics of building and running a simple code, while second-graders learn how to complete challenges and solve problems during their library class time.
"Students greatly enjoy these exercises and look forward to robotics each year!" said Ms. Lenzini.
