4th Grade Clap Out
We will be having our 4th Grade Clap Out on Wednesday, June 15th at 11:45 am and we would love for you to join us. Please park in a spot and line the drop-off lane to cheer out our amazing Roadrunners as rising 5th graders.
After the clap out, you can meet your child's teacher at their classroom door and we will dismiss your student from there. (Don't worry if you can't make it, your child will be dismissed at 12:35 pm via their regular routine)
See you soon!

PTO News
Field Day is next Tuesday! We will be running things differently this year than in years past. JK-1st Grade will be heading to the outdoor activities in the morning only, while 2nd & 3rd Grade will be heading to the outdoor activities in the afternoon only. 4th Grade will have the opportunity to stay outside all day, if they choose. We are looking for volunteers to run each game station, as well as classroom volunteers for the outdoor portion of the day. If you would like to volunteer, please see the Signup Genius here! Please note: If we do not have enough volunteers for at least one per station, we will shuffle folks around to cover each game.
In addition to volunteer spots, we could also use some extra equipment. We are looking for a few extra pop-up tents to provide some shady spaces for the kids (especially for snack time), and a wagon for each class to carry water bottles. If you are willing to provide any of those things, please sign up for a slot (and be sure to LABEL all your equipment so we can be sure to get it back to you!)
One of the perks of using Fun Services for events is free tickets for summer fun! We are entitled to FREE Mackinac Island Ferry tickets and Pictured Rocks tickets. Head over here and enter code MI2022 to print your tickets!
UPCOMING DATES:
6/13: 4th Grade Farewell (NOTE: This event is for students ONLY! More information to follow.)
6/14: Field Day

Note From the Counselor
Counselor Corner! Well, we made it to the final stretch of the year! The last few weeks, when the sun is shining and energy is high! And after so many months of hurdles and challenges, it is time to celebrate all that we accomplished and overcame during this school year. The Elementary Counselors would like to take time this month to celebrate our students and highlight their amazing strengths. We plan to take time with classrooms to focus on lessons missed at some other point in the year or revisit specific topics that need a refresher. We want to end this year on a positive note and recognize how truly resilient our students are, and we hope that you take some time at home to do this as well. Thank you for the amazing support from our staff and parents as we worked to connect with and support all of our students this year. We are already working towards our plans for next school year and look forward to expanding our avenues of support. More Resources: We also have our BAS Elementary Counseling website for ideas and resources to be used at home! Mrs. McKiddy Spencer/Hornung
