Principal's Monthly Message
Hello Eagle Families,
March is packed with excitement as we gear up for Open House, Spring Break, the conclusion of our 97% Attendance Bicycle Challenge, 2nd Trimester Awards, field trips, and so much more. It's a time for celebration and growth, as we witness our students' achievements and provide them with enriching experiences. We eagerly await seeing you at our Open House event, where we throw open our doors to welcome you into our classrooms. It's a fantastic chance for you to witness firsthand the incredible learning journey your child has been on this school year.
As we dive into these exciting events, I want to underscore the vital importance of regular school attendance. Every day counts in your child's educational journey. By attending school consistently, they not only enhance their academic skills but also cultivate habits of responsibility and perseverance that will serve them well in the future.
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child's attendance remains a top priority. Together, let's make March a month filled with learning, growth, and cherished memories for our students.
SOARing with Eagle Pride,
~Mrs. Marich
To SOAR, Be Here More!
97% Attendance Bicycle Challenge
Look at this! We are excited to announce...through generous donations from Poseidon Bike and others... we are able to offer an ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE for the months of February and March!
Here is how it works:
Every student who has a 97% or higher attendance rate for the months of February and March will be entered into a drawing for a bicycle. There are a total of 6 bicycles to be awarded!
- 2 bicycles to be awarded in grades TK/K
- 2 bicycles to awarded in grades 1-3
- 2 bicycles to be awarded in grades 4-6
There are 35 school days in the months of February and March, combined. Students must be at school on time and attend for the full day. To maintain a 07% attendance rate, students can only have one attendance occurrence in the 35 days. This means a student can have no more than ONE of the following in order to be eligible for the drawing:
- absence, excused or unexcused
- tardy, excused or unexcused
- early sign out, excused or unexcused
Looking forward to seeing everyone at school, on time, each and every day!!
We MISS YOU when you are not here and you MISS OUT when you are absent!
2nd Trimester Awards
Classroom teachers will notify parents of students being recognized during our Awards Assemblies.
Open House - March 14, 2024
We look forward to seeing you during our Open House event. PTO will have food trucks and activities before classroom visits begin at 6:00 pm.
March is Women's History Month
Each March, we take time to honor the many contributions and accomplishments of women in American history. We are looking forward to learning and celebrating together during Women's History Month.
Information
Improve Tardies
Supervision of students begins at 7:45 each morning (7:30 for breakfast in the MPR).
the warning bell rings at 7:58; the goal is for students to be on campus and through the gate at 7:58 so they are with their teacher at 8:00. We appreciate your partnership in having students at school on time.
Use Crosswalks
For everyone's safety, please use crosswalks when crossing the street and/or navigating through the parking lot. We appreciate your help by not calling to or directing your child to walk between cars using the drop off and pick up lane.
Keep Traffic Flowing
When dropping off and picking up students, please pull all the way forward in the lane closest to the curb. After loading or unloading, the pull through lane is available to proceed to the exit.
