PLE Field Trip Procedures
We want every student to be able to participate in Field Trips at PLE. Most grade levels participate in 1-2 field trips per school year which aligns with their curriculum. There is a fee for each field trip students participate in which includes the event fee and the transportation fee when applicable.
Due to shortage of bus drivers DCSD is not providing transportation. In the event transportation is needed for the field trip, we will obtain charter buses. Please know this has added significant cost to our field trips. Transportation cost on average will add about $17.00 to all field trips.
Please ensure you are registering your student 2 weeks prior to the field trip. This is to give us time to print rosters, and to ensure all medical needs are met for your students. Please help us by registering your student in a timely manner.
DEADLINES
New for the 23/24 school year the posted deadlines are firm.
Students not registered by the deadline will not be able to participate.
REGISTRATION
- All registration and payments are to be completed online using MySchoolBucks.com
- Utilizing an actual computer is the best way to ensure your registration gets completed.
- MOBILE DEVICES - Although you can try and use your mobile device there are times that the apps sometimes do not always complete the process.
- If you need a computer please come by our office and we can assist you.

SACK LUNCHES
We do not automatically prepare school sack lunches for students for field trips. If you would like our Kitchen staff to prepare a sack lunch for your student please fill out the form below:
This form needs to be submitted 2 weeks prior to date of field trip!
CHAPERONES
Teachers will communicate to families if they are in need of chaperones. Please respond directly to them if you are interested in chaperoning for an event.
If you are selected as a chaperone, we do need to make sure we have scanned your Driver's License into our Raptor system. This is our Visitor Management software. We will print off name tags for you. Please wear them, as this is a visual indicator to students you are a part of the group and a trusted adult.
