Your Child’s Teachers-
Mrs. Cristofori (Mrs. C) & Mrs. Audrey Demetralis (Mrs. D)
Welcome
Please remember to call the school office at Cronin (815) 577-7314 if your child will be absent for the day and transportation 815-577-6290 (if they ride the bus). Also if your child’s transportation may change for the end of their session please call transportation and the school to let us know before the end of your child’s session.
*A few reminders about busing*
Please remember to be waiting at your bus stop 5 minutes before the scheduled time of pick up or drop off of your child. Any tardiness on your part does affect the rest of the route. We want children to arrive at school on time and not miss instructional time.
*Skyward Updates*
Please check in your Skyward account to make sure that your telephone numbers are listed correctly. Please include emergency contacts who we can contact if we are not able to reach you. If someone other than the parent/guardian is picking up or dropping off the child, their name must be on the emergency contact list.
*Car Riders*
You will use your child’s QR to scan on the tablet/computer upon arrival. If you need another QR code or name card please let me know.
Arrival / Dismissal- Please follow these updated safety rules- These rules are also listed on your child's name card that is to be displayed in the window during dismissal time.
- Please stay in your car.
- Pull around when instructed to do so by a staff member.
- Preschool name cards must be visible by the driver side window.
- Children required to be in a car seat must remain buckled until the staff member arrives at the car door.
- When leaving the parking lot, please completely buckle students before exiting.
- Please remember that all school zones are cell phone free.
*Library*
Your child came home with a book from the school library cart on Thursday. Please make sure they take care of it and bring it back by the following Thursday. Please have them return the book in their backpack when they are done reading it so they will have it on the following Thursday to return. They should bring the book everyday to school just like their yellow folder. Once they have 3 books out on their account they will not be able to check out anymore books until they are returned. You are responsible for any damaged books, so please teach your child how to care for their library books. Any questions please let me know!
Our Busy Classroom

We will continue our study on Gardening this week.

I can match rhyming words
I can measure and count how tall the flowers are
Gym:
If the weather is between 20F with the windchill and 90F with the heat index we will go outside in the back of the school or the playground on our designated days. Please dress your child appropriately for the weather, and please have them wear gym shoes everyday.
Weather
As the weather begins to change, we want to have everyone prepared and ready! Students go outside if the 'feels like' temperature is 20 degrees or higher. Please make sure your child is dressed in layers for that reason- hat, coat, mittens (preferred), scarf, if needed. We do not need snowpants brought to school as it is very difficult to dress everyone to go outside in the snow.
Please make sure that your child has shoes to change into because boots are uncomfortable to wear all day, and children must have gym shoes to participate in gym activities as we have gym everyday.
AM Class- What do we know about gardening?
AM Class- What is your favorite fruit or vegetable?
