CFL Communication
Dear CFL Families,
- We have had a great few weeks of school. Teaches are building relationships with your child(ren) and together they are creating procedures, routines and systems in their classrooms. If you ever have questions or concerns please reach out to your child's teacher. We are here to partner and support however we can!
- If you drop off your child, please reminder to walk your child to their teachers line. Do not let them just run from the car. This is for the safety for all our children. Thank you for your support! Teachers will bring in students promptly at 8:45
- Remember to sign and return all paperwork that your child has brought home over the last 2 weeks.
Late Students - If your student arrives late, you will need to escort your child to the front office. We will need to screen each child individually and escort them to class. We have 2 office staff and your wait time may be increased if you arrive late.
Early Check-Out - If you are checking your student out early, please call ahead and we will try to have your student ready by the time you get to the school. Please allow 15 minutes before you arrive. Students will still need to be signed out by a parent or guardian at the front office.
Changes in End of Day routines - If you need to change your child’s normal end of day routine please call the school before 3:00 pm to allow us time to ensure the message gets to the teachers before students are released. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the school! Veronica Duran and Miriam Baltazar, our friendly and super helpful secretaries, are in the office Tuesday through Friday and can be reached 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call the school at (970) 285-5702.

COVID SAFETY PROCEDURES
Student Safety during COVID:
As with last year, we will continue to follow guidance and recommendations from state and local officials. This year brings some changes for our students, parents and community as we continue working towards creating a safe environment for students and staff members. For the remainder of the COVID 19 Pandemic, there are numerous safety precautions we will follow as proposed by CDC,CDPHE, and GCPHE. This is to ensure student, staff and community safety.
As stated in the "Opening Schools Plan" masks are encouraged but not required. Please keep in mind this is subject to change based on COVID-19 numbers and guidance from local and state health departments.
We are dedicated to returning to school as normal as possible. We believe in-person learning and socialization are key in developing a great education. We will follow all local and state-level mandates. The Garfield 16 Plan for Opening Schools can be accessed directly using the link below.
