"The wisest mind has something yet to learn..." - George Santayana
With Apprecation:
- Darren, Pam & Tricia for handling the evacuation during our unexpected fire drill(s)...pesky bird in the MPR triggered it. Thanks to Markus for working with the FD and alarm co. to resolve the situation
- Kudos to Markus for being awesome and efficient. Mrs. Botonis emailed him one afternoon about getting a standing desk, and when I came in my classroom the following morning, he had already put the desk in my classroom!!!! :-) WOW!
- Our Prep Teachers for working out the kinks of your schedule, learning a gazillion names, and providing engaging lessons
New Information/Things to Do:
- TEAM SELFIE: Please take a team selfie for our staff room wall. You can email it to Tricia or text it to Jen (702 324 6884).
- PACKING SLIPS: Be sure to send packing slips from boxes to Pam so the vendor can be paid.
- iSAFE LESSONS: See Annie's email for the PDF lessons, or visit Common Sense Media online here. Pleae get your verification back to Annie by the end of September.
- THIS & THAT SURVEY: We are looking for some input...please take 2 minutes to complete this survey.
- LIBRARY BOOKS: on your library day, please deliver your 'books to be returned' in the morning so that Irma can get them checked in and can focus her time with your students on library skills and sharing stories.
Older Stuff/Reminders
- MISSING STUDENT? If you are not certain where a student is (i.e. they don't return from lunch/recess/prep) but there was no note left for you or no one contacted you, please give the office a call so we can ensure we know where everyone is.
- FIELD BOUNDARIES: Please talk with your team about where the boundaries are on the field, and be sure you communicate those to your students. If you open the field, please ensure there is adequate and watchful supervision.
- ACCESS TO CLASSROOMS AFTER SCHOOL: it is our office policy that we will not allow students into your classroom after school unless you are present. At lunch/recess/prep, we made need to let a kiddo in to get a backpack when they are checking out, but you'll know someone was in there because a pink note will be left on your chair.
