Bristol Eastern Preschool News
Mrs. Paquette-Claman
Themes for the first two weeks of school.
Unfortunately, we did not get off to a great start with our friend the weather. The children have been doing an outstanding job with their work in the class even though the class schedule has been inconsistent. If this is any indicator, I would say we are going to have a great semester. I am very impressed with their ability to adapt. I have included some of the activities we will be doing over the next few class meetings, along with a couple of events and schedule changes. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see.
The children will make a necklace to retell the story at home.
The math concept of charting will take place with different characters in the book.
The science activity will be Kool-Aid play dough for sensory development and measuring the ingredients.
I Like Myself
The activities for this book will include making a self puppet , a special rice cake snack, playing a game with their name and charting their eye color for math skills.
Bad Apple
The project with consist of using their fine motor and writing skills. Musical instruments will be used with a new song they will be learning. The snack will include an apple with graham crackers as the dirt and a gummy worm will be the surprise inside.
Week of March 9-12.
Schedule Changes for the month of March.
We will be dismissing Preschool at 11:00, on Wednesday. There will not be Preschool on Thursday, March 12th. This is due to a scheduling conflict. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing for the schedule after next week.
March 17th St. Patrick's Day
Please have your child wear green. We will be treating the children to lunch in the cafeteria and watching a River Dance Production. We will also go on a search for a pot of gold the Leprechaun's have hidden for the children.
