WHAT IS THE TOPIC AND FORMAT? A panel of local business experts will talk about the one thing that can kill your business and three things to do to improve your opportunities for success. Then they will answer questions.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Anyone who has a business idea, owns a small business, or would like to know what to consider or avoid when running a small business.

Norene R. Palmer, Partner, Lee, Emerson & Palmer, LLP
Norene R. Palmer joined the Lee, Emerson & Palmer LLP law firm in 2014 after working as a paralegal for eight years. Ms. Palmer, a native of Norwich, earned her undergraduate degree and master's degree from SUNY Cortland, and her law degree from SUNY Buffalo Law School. She is currently a member of the Chenango County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, a Rotarian with the Norwich Rotary Club, and a member of the Chenango County Blues Festival Committee. Ms. Palmer's primary areas of practice include real estate, estate planning, estate administration, business entities (LLCs, corporations, partnerships), and landlord/tenant law.
Dennis M. Mirabito, Insurance Consultant, NBT-Mang Insurance Agency
Dennis Mirabito has over 33 years of experience in the insurance industry. Mr. Mirabito was an insurance broker and agent specializing in business and personal protection. He represents property, casualty, life, health, and long-term care insurance products. Mr. Mirabito received the 2010 Travelers National Agent of the Year award for his work with personal insurance product lines. He belonged to multiple professional councils including the National Council for Kemper Insurance Agencies, Travelers Agent Council, NYCM Agency Advisory Council, and more.
Pegi LoPresti, Branch Manager-Norwich, NBT Bank

Pegi LoPresti is the NBT Norwich Branch Manager. Ms. LoPresti is a graduate of Morrisville State College. Beyond her working experience with a leading bank, she has a wealth of marketing and public relations experience from her former role as Executive Director of the Norwich Improvement District. Ms. LoPresti has a deep understanding of promotional strategies suitable for small rural communities, and she also has many years of experience working with small business owners.
