Band Pre-Festival Concert
Mark your calendar for the SHS Band Pre-Festival Concert to be held on Monday, March 25th in the Auditorium. The Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and Percussion Ensemble will be performing as well as specials guests, the Spring Creek Middle School 7th grade band.
SHS Cheer Tryouts
For those interested in joining the SHS Cheer team, tryouts will be held March 26-28th.
Football Information meeting
The Football information meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 26th, at 6pm in the Cafeteria. This meeting is for all incoming 10-12 grade players and their parents.

Local Scholarships are Due!
Don't forget that local scholarships are due to the Counseling Office on Wednesday, March 27th, by 3:30pm.
Springville Art Royalty Applications are now open
To be considered for Art Royalty, please complete the online application detailing your school and extracurricular activities as well as service and arts-related experience. Applicants will also be asked to describe how they will promote the museum as a member of Art Royalty. All applicants must select an artwork from the museum's permanent collection for their art presentation, which will occur at the same time as their interview, if they are selected as finalists. Applicants will list their chosen artwork in the application. Applicants may select a work by visiting the museum or viewing our collection online: https://webkiosk.springville.org/.Finalists will be notified via email with details about the time and location of their interview and art presentation. Newly selected members of Art Royalty will be recognized at a crowning ceremony held at the Art Ball on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. These members will serve for the next 12 months. Art Royalty is an inclusive opportunity. Applications are open to all rising high school juniors and seniors residing in Springville and Mapleton. Seniors! Graduation announcements
Attention Seniors! Look for the name list by the Finance and Counseling Office to check your name. This is the name that will go on your diploma and that will be announced during the graduation commencement. Is your name is missing or needs to be corrected, please let your counselor know by April 12th.

Dance Company Tryouts
Calling all dancer! Information packets are available in the front office. A live application link is available in the Instagram bio @springvilledancecompany. A parent meeting will be held April 15th at 7pm in the Dance room. Clinics will be held April 22 and 23, with auditions on April 24.
Boys and Girls State
Juniors! Applications are now open for both Utah Boys State and Utah Girls State. These are week-long summer college programs where students can learn about our Constitutional government. This is held at Weber State University during the first 2 weeks of June (Girls State is June 2-7 and Boys State is June 9-15). Students and their families are expected to pay their own way and the cost covers food for the week, housing, a t-shirt and a 3 college credit class.

Girls State: Copy the linked application (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aR7fQCYr5-bLOkC-2-TwcPEeuHRP7ffwfoBCOY9a-O8/edit?usp=sharing), fill it out and turn it in to Mr. Johnson in the counseling office.

MTECH Information Night
If you are interested in classes at MTECH, please attend the MTECH Information Night on March 25th, from 6-7 pm at the Nebo Advanced Learning Center located at 161 E 700 N, Salem, Utah. For Nebo School District Junior and Senior High Students (Do not pay tuition - only fees)
UVU Rise
A free, 6 week summer program that provides current 9-11 grade students with credit recovery options while simultaneously giving opportunities to earn college credit, explore career pathways, and be introduced to the UVU college experience. Application deadline is April 26, 2024.
Success in Education Technology Camps
This year Success in Education is hosting a three-week summer camp for middle, junior high and high school students at the Advanced Learning Center (161 E. 400 N, Salem). This camp aims to equip students with valuable skills in a fun and engaging environment. The program will run from July 8th to July 26th, 2024, excluding July 24th, and will be divided into three exciting subjects:
Week 1 (July 8th - 12th): Cybersecurity - Students will explore the world of digital security, learning the best practices to protect themselves and their information online.
Week 2 (July 15th - 19th): Game Development - Students will delve into the fundamentals of game creation, and experiment by building their own games.
Week 3 (July 22nd - 26th, excluding 24th): Career Exploration - Students will gain insight into various technology fields, meet professionals, and discover their future paths.

Seniors! Cap and Gown rentals
Seniors, would you like a cap and gown to use now as you take your senior pictures? Rentals are available now! For more information, contact the SHS Counseling Office. This is NOT the Jostens Cap and Gown rental for graduation day. The school has a few extra cap and gowns to rent for pictures or other uses during the school year. Rentals are limited to 48 hours or 3 school days. If rentals are not returned, a $75 charge will be added to students fees.
Crochet Club
All skill levels are welcome to Crochet Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch in G-1. Yarn is provided. Bring your lunch and come and learn.
