NOVEMBER NEWS
A Note from Mrs. Jeffers
The school year is flying by and boy, was October a busy month! November will slow down just a bit, but we still have a lot of fun and exciting things planned. This month we are challenging our students to do something kind or helpful for someone else. This could be sharing a toy, letting someone stand in front of them in line, or helping during clean up time. Whatever it may be, no matter how small of an act, we want to show others that we care!
We also are talking about being "thankful." We at Little Learners are blessed to have some of the best students and parents and for that we are very thankful!! Thank you for being active in your child's education and for supporting our endeavors. We couldn't do it without your support. 😊
Make and Take Activity Night
If you joined us for our Make and Take Activity Night- Thank you!! We loved being able to spend a little time with you and your student after school. It was fun getting to make the craft but it was even better to see parents and their children working side by side. If you missed out on this one, don't worry.... there are more to come!! Each time we do this fun event it will feature a different activity. Special Thanks to SensorEE Kits for providing the materials and guiding us through the process.
A Pumpkin Patch Thank You!
A huge thank you for your donation to our Preschool Pumpkin Patch! The students had a blast picking their own pumpkin from the courtyard. We are so appreciative that Coulter's Farm helps us with this fun activity every year. Students were able to do so many great learning activities with the pumpkins!
Food Pantry Collection
During the month of November our students are learning about working together and helping one another. This extends from our homes, to our classrooms, to our community. We strive to teach the students that it is great to offer a helping hand when we are able and are pointing out all of the simple ways that this is done on a daily basis at school. Additionally, we would like to show our support to others in the community. The Pax Center in LaPorte has a mission to "keep LaPorte County, Indiana, loved well and fed well through a network of community gardens, food pantries, and community meals." Little Learners preschool will be collecting donations the week of November 13th. If your child would like to donate items, please send them to school any day that week.

JOIN US!!!! Early Childhood Parent Night
Our parent night is coming up on November 8, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 in the Boston Auditorium. We are really hoping that all of our preschool parents are able to attend this one hour event. The purpose is to share developmentally appropriate ideas and activities with parents for what they can do at home to enhance their child's learning and development. We recognize that it takes a 'village' to educate a child and want to make sure that we provide parents with as many resources as possible. Child care will be available for those that need it. We strongly encourage you to participate in this event and hope you can make it a priority to be there. Please RSVP via the Early childhood webpage OR by calling our office at 219-324-3287. (It is important to RSVP if you will need child care so we can ensure we have enough adults to care for the students.) Everyone in attendance will also be entered into a drawing to win some great developmentally appropriate items!!
