Wednesday, August 19, marks the first day of remote learning for D303 high school students. At this time, we are responding to adjustments in the scheduling of classes that occur with our various partnerships outside D303. This is causing us to make final adjustments to student schedules. As a result, they will become available tomorrow by 12:00 PM through Home Access Center.
Students will receive an email from each of their teachers tomorrow (Tuesday) after 12:00 PM at their D303 student email addresses indicating how to join the first synchronous (live) class meeting on Wednesday, August 19. This will be a "Full Schedule Day" where students will meet with each of their teachers according to the High School Remote Learning Schedule. On Thursday, August 20, students will engage in learning during their periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 classes following the published times. Friday, August 21, is an "Even Day," so students will engage in learning during their periods 2, 4, 6, and 8 classes following the published times.
From 7:20 AM to 8:15 AM on Odd/Even Days, teachers will be available to assist their students using a virtual drop-in. Teachers will communicate the method by which students can access help on the first day of class. In addition, it will be published in their course syllabus and/or in Google Classroom/Schoology.
Students are expected to virtually attend each of their scheduled classes for the duration of the published times. Attendance will be taken during each class period. If a student is unable to attend a class due to illness, a parent/guardian should call the attendance office at 331-228-4700 to report their absence, as is the usual procedure.
Students have been asked to sign-up for an appointment on Tuesday, August 18, to pick-up textbooks. Please use this link if an appointment has not yet been made.
Students picking up lunch may do so at Door 3. The message you received from the district office regarding food service is attached for your reference.
We are so excited to start the school year and look forward to welcoming you back to class.
