Lake Ripley Elementary
April 2020
Principal's Message
At this time I would like to offer a sincere thank you to all of our parents, grandparents, and guardians as we battle with the Coronavirus. As teachers, parents, and a school district we are in uncharted territory. The tireless work of our teachers, and the fantastic support from parents prove that we are all in this educational journey together.
As we move into the first days of April, the end of the third marking period is upon us. Moving into the fourth quarter and the continuation of Distance Learning, it is important that our students have a strong finish to the school year. I realize that this is a completely different way for your children to learn, but I appreciate the way both you and your children have embraced it. The fourth quarter is filled with opportunities for independent learning. Please work to maintain strong habits and routines at home with schoolwork. We encourage all families to stay consistent with attendance and homework routines. Please make sure to take time for each other everyday. Social and mental well-being are of the utmost importance in our new adventure.
We are very fortunate to have wonderful students at Lake Ripley Elementary, but all of our students need reminders and reinforcements about how important it is to treat all people with respect, kindness, and compassion. Continue to encourage your child(ren) to practice those good habits.
Coming to a close, I want to take a moment to recognize the work of Mrs. Ridgeway and her tech team. So much of what they do can go unnoticed, but without them, all of the extras we are able to utilize would not be possible. That work has never been more evident. They are truly an invaluable part of our school.
