What's Happening This Week?
Math: We are taking a week long break from geometry concepts to tackle averages. Mean, median, mode, and range will be covered this week. We will quiz over these 4 types of averages on FRIDAY. We will resume geometry next week.
Reading: We will begin new lit circles this week. We will also be reviewing non-fiction text features and completing various activities over this concept this week. This month's genre study is over biography/autobiography. There are 3 leveled readers/activities to complete in your genre bag this month. Genre bags are due on January 30.
English: We will begin chapter 5 this week. DOL quiz on Friday.
Writer's Workshop: persuasive writing
Indiana History: We will tackle chapter 3 this week.
Spelling: new words will be chosen this week. We are focusing on the vowel dipthong /ow/. Test will be Friday, January 16.
Religion: verse to be memorized by Thursday
