Stewart Stampede
September 2019
From the Principal
Dear Stewart Families,
We had a great start to the new school year! Thank you for your patience as we made improvements to our arrival and dismissal process. We have approximately 100 additional cars in the morning and in the afternoon. Students are learning the process and we are getting students dismissed quickly and safely.
School safety continues to be a priority for our staff and our students. We will continue to hold fire drills, lockdown drills and bad weather drills. We will be holding parent meetings soon to help you better understand our safety processes and the training our staff is receiving. Please remember to complete the "Volunteer in CISD" form which is a background check that will allow you to participate in activities that will be held in classrooms and volunteer in various areas throughout the building.
We hope to see all our parents/guardians here for Parent Information Night on September 10th. I want to encourage to to attend. It's a great opportunity for you to hear directly from your child's teacher.
Thank you for supporting our Mustangs. We appreciate all you do!
Dr. Julie English
Counselor's Corner
Dear Families,
We are excited to welcome everyone back for a wonderful school year. We have many new faces at Stewart this year! I am excited to introduce to your our new counselor, Ms. Tisha Smith. Ms. Smith has been a counselor for eight years in CISD working previously at a school in The Woodlands. Ms. Smith and I will be working very closely this year with all teachers and students. We are excited for the opportunities of having two counselors on campus to help provide more support when needed.
Ms. Smith and I will be holding new student Lunch Bunch groups to welcome in our new Mustangs. A permission form has gone home with these students. During this lunch bunch we will share happenings around Stewart Elementary and allow these students to meet other new friends to share in this new year with. We are excited to meet all of our new Mustangs!
Wishing you all a happy and great school year!
