Kaboom! A Math Facts Game
Materials: Popsicle sticks and a solid bucket or container that is not transparent.
Players: 2 or more
Object: to collect as many popsicle sticks without getting a “kaboom” stick.
How to play:
1.First, label the end of each popsicle stick. You can use spelling words, sight words, or even math problems. Label at least 3 of the sticks with “kaboom” on the end. Place all the sticks (with the labels on the bottom end) inside the container.
2.Players take turns pulling a popsicle stick out of the bucket. For sight words, the “puller” has to read that sight word correctly. For math, they must answer the problem. If correct, they can keep it. If it’s wrong, they must return the stick to the bucket.
3.If someone draws a “kaboom” stick, they have to return all their collected sticks and start over.
4.Whoever has the most sticks in the end, wins the game.

We will display it with it's book for all the other classes to see. Please bring the book to go with it, if you have one. We will send them home on Friday, the 30th.
