End of Year Info
June 2, 2020
When can I clean out my locker?
All students must enter through the main doors and be wearing a mask. We will have hand sanitizer at the entrance.
Please plan to bring a box or bag to help collect your belongings.
Students will have 15 minutes to gather their belongings and then exit by the flag pole entrance.
To minimize the number of people in the building, we are requesting that parents wait in their vehicles while students do the clean out.
Students should look up their locker number and combination prior to coming to campus. (it's been a while and I know students will forget)
Our security will be present to help move students along and to prevent students from congregating.
Plan to bring a box or durable bag to help carry things out.
Here is a locker clean out schedule for the week:
We will also have an evening option on June 9th from 5-7pm for those needing a later opportunity.
Where do I drop off my textbooks and library books?
How can I pick up my art projects?
While you are cleaning out your lockers, please plan to stop by your art room if you want to keep your projects.
1. Please pick up your artwork from both fall and spring art classes.
2. Work that is not picked up may not be saved until the fall, due to space.
3. Please drop off art supplies that you took home in March to your teacher's classroom. There will be designated spots in each room for these supplies.
Some students have LARGE pieces so plan accordingly and bring a box to help carry things out.

Looking ahead to the summer and beyond...
The Summer Driver Education classes have been cancelled.
If a fall session is held, registration typically takes place mid August with the sessions at Thomas and Schroeder beginning mid September.
Please visit Driver Education for updates as WCSD receives them from BOCES and NYS Department of Education. We should have a good idea by August 1 what the plan is.

For the 21st consecutive summer, Camp College Prep will be held this July at Nazareth College. John Serafine, Director of Student Counseling and College Advising at McQuaid Jesuit High School, and John Baynes, English teacher at Our Lady of Mercy High School, will run this program. Camp College Prep is a four day seminar designed for current high school sophomores and juniors who are pursuing college admission. The goal of the program is to prepare students to become attractive candidates in the college admissions process.
In order to experience success in the college admissions process, students need to understand how this system works and what factors are valued by college admissions professionals.
The following topics will be addressed at Camp College Prep:
➢ SAT/ACT preparation (7 hours)
➢ How to write a powerful college essay (students will leave with a completed college
essay)
➢ One-on-one college counseling
➢ How college admissions decisions are made (presentation from Directors of
Admissions from local colleges)
