HOMECOMING Week Coming up SOON
-Theme: "Lights! Camera! Action!"
*The idea with this theme incorporates movies, Oscars, Red Carpet, etc.
-Floats
*Each class needs to have their own truck and trailer in order to create and haul their class float.
*Class sponsors will NOT be responsible for assisting students with their floats during school OR after school. This is an activity that must be completed outside of class time and planned by the students. The only time that will be given to students to do ANYTHING with the floats is on Homecoming day about 1 hour before the floats start to line up. That's it.
-Junior/Senior Football Game at Pep Rally
*juniors and seniors will be participating in a Junior/Senior football game (2-hand touch - no tackling).
-Homecoming Dance
*The dance will be Saturday Sept 7th from 9-12 in the FHS Cafe.

Student view of Summit
The student experience includes:
- Week: Students set their own long-term goals and view them alongside their daily and weekly action items
- Year: Students see an overview of all their courses, Projects, and focus areas in a year, and choose which focus areas to work on next
- Progress: Students can view everything they recently accomplished, the goals theyāve set, a summary of their grades, and can receive notes from mentors and teachers
- College: Students can set long-term goals for the types of colleges they'd like to attend, as well as goals for the year related to each aspect of their college application
Mentors help students develop Habits of Success
Each Mentor throughout the day and RISE Time;
- Express Care and show students they matter. Mentors or someone the student can trust, who will listen, believe in the student and encourage them and praise them for their efforts and achievement.
- Challenge Growth and pus students to keep getting better. They will expect students to do their best, stretch and push students to go further, hold them accountable and help the student reflect when they fail so they can learn from it.
- Provide Support and help students complete tasks and goals. Mentors will guide students through hard situations, empower them to build confidence and take charge, advocate for students when needed and set boundaries to help students stay on track.
- Share Power and give their students a say. Mentors respect students and take them seriously, include them in decisions, work with students to solve problems and create opportunities for students to take action and lead.
- Expand Possibilities and connect students to people and places that broaden their world. Mentors work to inspire students to see possibilities, broaden their horizons exposing students to new ideas, experiences, and places and introduces students to people who can help them grow.
Students meet daily in their RISE time with their RISE Mentor. Regularly they have check-ins with their Mentor to check on goals, progress, and reflection. This is a highly important part of each students' daily schedule.
