ADM High School Counseling Office
DID YOU KNOW...?
National School Counseling Week is February 5th-9th & the theme this year is
"School Counseling: Standards-Based, Student-Focused."
SAEBRS Results
Teachers and counselors are in the process of ensuring that all students who had parent permission to complete the mySAEBRS Winter Screener have completed it. Your ADM High School counselors will analyzing the screening result data and this month we will begin our first round of interventions based on screening results.
If your student is selected for small group intervention, the counselors will reach out to you directly.
4 YEAR PLANNING
Students, please remember that it's important that your 4-year plan accurately reflects the courses that you want to take. This helps us build the master schedule so that we offer enough sections of electives that you may be interested in. Inaccurate 4-year plans lead to more schedule changes later. And as the district grows, classes become more full and schedule changes become more difficult. Please plan accordingly!
SENIORS... ADM SCHOLARSHIP & MORE
Attention Seniors,
The ADM Scholarship Foundation Application is due MARCH 1ST. Any students planning to attend postsecondary education SHOULD apply for this scholarship. The application can be found here or you can pick up a paper copy in the counseling office.
If necessary, remember to give your recommendation requests to teachers/administrators/counselors ahead of time, so they have time to write your letter.

If you are interested in having your student referred for school-based therapy, please reach out to your student's ADM High School counselor. You can learn more about Family Connections through the link here.
Family Connections will also be offering BHIS services to students and families who are interested and eligible. 12 Questions for the High School Senior
Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing a total of twelve questions to help second semester seniors finish out strong, aware and competent. Each month will have three questions. This month, the first three questions are presented.
These 12 questions will help you:
- Enjoy your last few months in high school
- Create a plan to crush it in college, skilled trades, apprenticeship, etc.
- And most importantly, become your own best friend (always helpful to take a BFF to your next steps).
The first three questions:
1. Why now?
This is it. In a few months high school is over and this is all a memory. Starting something new? Putting off that trip with friends? Neglected family time for two years to get your GPA up? Now is the time to do all of these things!
2. What are you still carrying?
You’ve spent 18 years collecting baggage along the way. Now it’s time for a gear check. Some of the habits, quirks, and beliefs you’ve picked up will serve you well in the next chapter. Others won’t. Time to lighten the pack.
3. What do you want to remember about this moment?
In a few months, this all wraps up and becomes a story you will someday tell your kids. Look around. Take some notes. Live a story worth telling.
Next month: 12 Questions for the High School Senior: Questions 4-6.
Let’s make dreams come true. Together.
GO Tigers.
With kind regards,
