Education Affecting Our Environment
By: Chelsey Froese
Introduction
I feel education is playing a large role in our environment. Through numerous studies some scientist have a theory that people with more education can be beneficial to our environment.
The Problem
I feel that education has an affect on how people react to our environment. People with a higher education tend to be more conscience about recycling and helping our environment. The reason this is a problem in todays society is because there are a lot of people who do not have school education after high school. We need more people to care in order to have a happier and safe environment. "The more highly educated are more likely to display their environment credentials through what they buy rather than with actions such as turning off lights..." "...People with degrees are 25% more likely, on average, than people with no education qualifications to adopt pro-environmental behaviors..." The more we know the more we can do, so when you get the chance educate yourself on our environment, because only we as humans can do something about it.
Addressing the Problem
The only way to fix this problem is to have people educated in ways to help our environment. People should attend local classes to learn about carpooling and recycling. When you get the chance think about your environment and make it what you want it to be.
