Siple Spotlight
There are no spectators in education! December 9, 2019
It was a BUSY Siple Weekend!
On Saturday our Siple Stardinals robotics team competed in their Legos First Robotics Expo. They were at Schickler Elementary School in Lapeer from noon until 4:00 p.m. Congratulations to Rita on rallying the teams and parent volunteers to get everything prepared! I am excited to attend the Expo and watch our Stardinals shine! They received trophies for Cooperative Model, Creative Model, and Creative Explorers. I was so proud watching them explain their thinking for their models and seeing them work as strong teams. They will celebrate the end of the season with a party Thursday after school.
Team 1: Stardinal Shredders
Team 2: Da Boyz
Team 3: Ninja Stardinals
Count Down to Christmas
Wednesday is an Early Release Day!
Title I Paras, Special Ed Paras, and Kristen Clarambeau will participate in START training at the DMS Community Room from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Special Ed paras will need to assist with their students getting on their bus and then head over to the training. I also invited our Playground Monitors and Secretaries to the training. It is optional for this group but the training is about working with students with Autism and is very good. If these hourly employees choose to attend please add the time to your payroll sheet.

Special Thanks
-Kudos to our office staff and Jake for taking flu season in stride! It has been a revolving door of sick kids and waste baskets and I appreciate the compassion and kindness you share with the sick kiddos!
-Thanks to our paras for managing the morning gym before school. I know we are short-handed and you are doing an amazing job of holding everything together!
-BRAVO to Ami Unger for stepping in to plan, organize, and host our Santa's Gift Shop! It was an outstanding experience for our Siple STARs! Thanks to everyone that crafted, donated, or helped set up for the shop. Thanks also to staff members that helped students shop or wrapped items.
