The real name of Babe Ruth was George Herman Ruth. His first MLB team was the Orioles. They traded him to the Red Sox. Then the red sox traded him to the yankees. Then they traded him back to the Red Sox but at the time they were named the Boston Braves. So when he went to the Braves they were renamed the Boston Red Sox.
HITTING CAREER
His hitting career was a good one. He hit over 21 homers ! He was one of the greatest home run hitters ever . He hit 64 homers in one season and kept that record for 34 years. In his hitting career he hit overall 714 hits and kept that record for 26 years.
PITCHING CAREER
Babe Ruth was one of the best pitchers ever in MLB (major league baseball) history . In one season he pitched 26 perfect games. All of his opponents feared him.
late life / Death
Babe Ruth was born on February 6th, 1895. He retired in 1935 and died in 1948 when he was 63 years old. Babe Ruth was a good person. After his death he won many awards and was honored by his fans and peers.
WHAT I LEARNED
I learned from Babe Ruth to never give up. I know that because Babe Ruth kept trying hard and in base ball and that will help me in other sports to keep trying and never give up.
