Coastal Plains

Region Description
The coastal plains have rolling hills, valleys, and plains. It has a economy of ranching, farming, airplane industry, computers, and manufacturing. The coastal has cotton, peanuts, wheat, corn, pecans, watermelon, fruits, and vegtibles as their crops.
Padre Island
This is a good view of Padre Island. Since it's an island, it has a very long beach. In the coastal plains there are a lot of beaches, or coasts, obviously. None of the other regiions have this feature, because none of the other regions touch the ocean!To find Padre on a map, you would want to find the tip of texas, then follow the coast untill you find a long, skinny island that should be named Padre Island.

Houston
Two New York Real Estate promoters were seeking a location where they could begin building "a Great Community of Government." In August 1836, they purchased 6,642 acres of land for $9,428.The city was named after Sam Houston, the hero of San Jacinto. Houston is know for it's University, which Is now 30 years old. To find Houston on a map, you would neet to find the northern-most area that touches the ocean. Then you would need to go East from that spot, untill you find Houston on the map.

Sam Houstin National Park
Sam Houstin is located 50 miles north of Houstin. The national forests in Texas were purchased for the national forest system in 1933. Sam Houstin National Park was created because of the forestry and mass wildlife in the forest. The forest contains 163, 037 acres of land.
