Red Cross Blood Drive
The YCHS National Honor Society is proud to sponsor our next blood drive with the American Red Cross on Friday, November 16 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
An estimated 38 percent of Americans are eligible to give blood, but of those, less than 10 percent actually donate each year. If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate. Most donations take about an hour, so book your appointment, roll up your sleeve and become a part of the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross and NHS. Community members are welcome to come out to the high school and donate! If you would like to book an appointment, email NHS co-advisor Erin Sunday at the address below.

NEWS FROM ASPIRE -- WHERE YOU’LL FIND MENTORS DEVOTED TO HELPING YOU CREATE AND CUSTOMIZE YOUR CAREER AND COLLEGE PLAN
ASPIRE Volunteer Mentors are Needed
ASPIRE is a tried-and-true successful college and career-readiness program unique to Oregon. Key to this success are the volunteers who mentor high school students, helping them design a college/career path plan that’s a good fit.
Supportive ASPIRE mentors make a world of difference in what a student’s future looks like. With a little training, you will, too! And, you can accomplish this in as little as an hour a week. Please spread the word about volunteering for this exceptional program to your relatives, friends and neighbors.
For more info, please view these short videos. Then, contact the YCHS ASPIRE Program Coordinator Janet Herring-Sherman at herring-shermanj@ycschools.org or 503-883-3686. It’s that easy!
