Relationship and Communication
Relationships can be created on the internet through the process of communication. This communication can be used in a positive way, but sometime students can act irresponsibly. The use of anonymous messaging allows students to engage in unethical behavior. Even something that was typed in a positive mindset may be taken to totally opposite of its primary intentions. Students need to recognize that their is a set of rules or a code called netiquette that pertains to the digital world. Netiquette is there to help students make good choices and help them realize that there online activity impacts more than just them.
According to Louisiana Digital Standards, students are expected to have mastered the understanding of the consequences that may arise due to irresponsible use of technology and digital information. Students are also expected to be able to identify the possible risk and dangers associated with online communication.

Digital Footprint and Representation
According to the the Louisiana Guide for Digital Literacy, students will not need to be introduced to this topic until sixth grade. In the sixth grade they will be introduced to the topic of how information on the internet can be distorted or exaggerated. With technology being obtained at a younger age, I feel the topic may have an impact on a younger generation. I feel this is a topic parents need to be aware of just in case the issue arises.
Implementation in the Classroom
In order to ensure that students are having positive behaviors during their time with technology, I would ask students to think of a time that where something was said about them that wasn't true. I will explain to them that just as they remember that incident, then someone else remembers what they may post whether good or bad and remind them that it can be brought back up at any time.
Tips to Students
