GRAMMY Museum’s Jane Ortner Education Award
The Jane Ortner Education Award celebrates K-12 teachers who integrate music into English language arts, social studies, math, science, and foreign language instruction. The program also offers free professional development webinars, workshops in Los Angeles and across the country, and an online library of music-integrated lessons.
Elementary, middle, and high school educators who teach English language arts, social studies, science, math, or a foreign language are encouraged to apply for the award. To apply, complete the free online application at https://www.grammymuseum.org/education/janeortnereducationaward and submit an original unit of lessons for elementary, middle, or high school students that incorporates music. The 2019 award recipient will receive a $3,000 honorarium; a $1,000 grant awarded to their school; two tickets to the 62nd GRAMMY Awards® on Jan. 26, 2020, in Los Angeles, including travel and accommodations; and recognition at a special GRAMMY Museum® event in Los Angeles.
Application deadline is December 4, 2019.
