Native American Fashion Show!
Greetings,
Nebo Title VI (Indian Education) is excited to announce a Fashion Show on Monday, March 11th, from 6-8 pm at Spanish Oaks Elementary in Spanish Fork. We invite all patrons and employees of Nebo School District to attend this special event.
Join us for an evening filled with Indigenous stories and history shared by Native Americans. Enjoy songs and dances performed by Title VI students and families. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to learn more about Native American culture. We will have students and community members modeling traditional, contemporary, and pow-wow regalia. In addition, there will be an opportunity to purchase delicious food and shop for various jewelry, arts, and crafts created by local Native American artists.
Student Stakeholder Survey
Dear Nebo School District Community,
Nebo School District is conducting a survey to gather input from students, staff, parents, and community members on the district’s climate. We encourage you to share your
thoughts.
Nebo School District will use the feedback to ensure that district offerings meet your needs, as consistent with the district’s goals.
Your responses are anonymous and will be kept confidential, so please be as
open and honest as possible. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The link to the survey was shared with parents/guardians, as well as teachers last Friday, March 8th. Students will be taking the survey this upcoming Friday, March 15th during their 6th period class.
If you would like to opt your student out from taking this stakeholder survey, please email jennifer.dahl@nebo.edu by this Thursday, March 14th.

March Madness is a few weeks away. We celebrate March Madness Lobo Style in a couple of ways:
3v3 Intramural Basketball Tournament starts THURSDAY March 14. Pick your team of 3 and sign up using this link: 3v3 Sign-Up Form or the QR codes around school. Choose your team and sign up! Test your grit! Sign up by WEDNESDAY March 13th. If you have any issues signing up or questions, see Mrs. Anderson.
March Madness Brackets! As soon as the tournament brackets are released, we will have copies ready to go. Classes will compete for a class prize, but individuals can compete for their own prize! We encourage everyone to fill out both brackets (one for girls and one for boys). Selection Sunday is March 17, so March 18 will be the date the brackets are ready to be filled out. HANDS-ON STEM EXPLORATION
SheTech Explorer Day is a hands-on tech conference for high school girls from grades 9th through 12th (although we can take 8th graders as well!). This day-long event includes hands-on workshops in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Our ultimate goal is to expose girls to technology in a fun atmosphere while they meet STEM role models to learn more about opportunities in those fields. Girls who attend will have access to internships, receive a SheTech certificate, access pathway information, and become part of a community that provides girls with opportunities in STEM.
The day is tech interactive and enables girls to experience, innovate and create. Girls start in the morning with working sessions where they explore tech, such as robotics, computer programming, digital media, health, and microbiology. They then hear from inspirational females and industry visionaries. In the afternoon, the girls participate in the TechChallenge where they work with industry mentors as they ideate, solve, and pitch their solutions.
Students attend a selection of 40+ different workshop sessions & TechZone!
Workshop topics include:
> Programming
> Engineering
> Aerospace
> Robotics
> Product Invention & Entrepreneurship
> Biomedicine
> Web, Digital Marketing, Ecommerce, and User Experience
> Gaming, Esports, VR
> Science in Tech (e.g. chemistry, formulation, materials)
***To sign up, please visit Mrs. Jorgenson (room 7) or Mrs. Sorensen (room 47) to get a permission form. We have limited spots left. To secure your spot, you must return any signed permission forms by this Friday, March 8.***
See https://www.shetechexplorer.com/explorer-day/ or contact rachel.jorgenson@nebo.edu or lindsay.sorensen@nebo.edu for more information.
Lagoon Day!
Lagoon Day will be on Friday, May 10th. We wanted all of you to be aware of the date since this is earlier than normal. The reason for the early date is due to Lagoon Day option restrictions and end of year schedule conflicts. We will share out more information regarding ticket and bus purchases as we get closer.
If you owe more than 3 hours of detention, you will not be able to attend, so start working off your detention hours with your teachers before or after school!
