Food Assistance for Anyone in Need
A HUGE thank you to Mays Chapel United Methodist Church and Grace Fellowship Church for their ongoing support in meeting student needs at school. Those in need of additional support may reach out to Lori Counsell, School Counselor, lcounsell@bcps.org, or Katie Lanier, School Nurse, klanier@bcps.org for access to additional resources.
What?
· Individuals or families facing financial hardship can pick up free groceries every two weeks from the ACTC Food Pantry. Bags include cereal, pasta meals, peanut butter, soup, canned fruits/vegetables, and other nonperishable food. Fresh or frozen baked goods, dairy products, produce, and frozen meat are added as available. Laundry detergent, toiletries and baby items (e.g., shampoo, soap, diapers) are also usually available on request.
· For the homeless, there are bagged lunches every day, as well as mail service, toiletries and week-end care bags.
When?
· Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (closed weekends and holidays)
Where?
· 116 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, behind Calvary Baptist Church in downtown Towson (one block north of the courthouse)
Who?
· ACTC is the Assistance Center of Towson Churches, a community of area churches, partners, and individuals that has served those in need in greater Towson for 35 years. Most of our current food supply is given by neighbors for neighbors, through donations and local food drives.
· ACTC is currently offering food to anyone in need in our service area of greater Towson, northern and central Baltimore county, and north-central Baltimore City.
