Friendly Traffic Reminders - In Person Families
Please be advised that you should not be double parking along Mountain Avenue (the street). The CHP has been out patrolling and asked us to message to families that tickets will be issued for those double parking.
Please stay in line for the traffic lane.
If your child is not ready for pick up yet, please drive around the traffic lane. The flow of traffic should continue.
Additionally, when you exit the traffic lane and turn right onto Mountain Avenue - please be sure to come to a complete stop to look for pedestrians.
Thank you so much!

Annual School Plan Survey
SEL Skill of the Week
This week Playworks is featuring a fun game that will help you identify problems and use problem-solving skills and creative thinking to solve it.
Social-Emotional Focus:
Problem-solving – The process of finding solutions to different issues or tasks.
Simplified Game Instructions
# of people to play: 3+
Best for ages: 6-12
Setup/Teaching Time: 5 minutes
Equipment needed: A grid of numbers, sample below.
Goal: Students will work together to crack the code.
Before You Start:
- The game leader should create a list of players’ names, so that each player knows when it is their turn.
- The game leader should also create a grid of numbers, like the one shown below, and have it on a piece of paper/poster or have the ability to share their screen, so that all students can see the numbers.
- With the grid of numbers, the game leader will need to create a “code” that the players will try to figure out as a class. To create the code, the game leader will start at the bottom and select one number from each line of the grid. An example of a code using the grid above would be: 8 1 9 3 4.
How to Play:
- One at a time, according to the order that the game leader prepared, the players will try to guess the code.
- The first player will guess a number from the first line of the grid.
- If the player guesses correctly, all players will silently cheer and will need to remember that number for when it is their turn to guess. The next player on the list will guess next.
- If the player guesses the first number incorrectly, the next player on the list will guess from the remaining numbers from the first line.
- After the players have figured out the first number of the code, they all need to remember it because they will always have to say that number first when they continue trying to figure out the code.
- The next player on the list will now try to figure out the second number in the code and will need to guess a number from the second row. But first, they should say the correct number from the first line. For example, they would say “8 4.”
- The players will continue guessing a number on each line of the grid until they have cracked the code!
- The players should support each other to remember the numbers they have already figured out in the code, using the chat to provide suggestions on what numbers they should be guessing.
- When the team has cracked the code, everyone can give virtual high fives. The game leader can create multiple number grids or codes so the group can play additional rounds.
