April Fools Family Night Turnout
The staff at Will James Middle School want to sincerely thank you for the wonderful turnout we had on April 1st for our family night. We had over 200 people show up which exceeded our expectation! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Teacher Appreciation is Around the Corner- Consider Donating using the QR Code!
Calling Parent Volunteers- Walk the Halls
The purpose of this survey is to gauge interest in parent involvement within our school community where as the parent, you would volunteer to come into the building during a set passing time on specific days for the remainder of the year to pass out candy to students as they are going to their next class. If you are interested in pursuing this task, please indicate a date that would work best for you. Once we have dates solidified with volunteers, we will work on finalizing details with those parents such as the time frame of when we will need you here and appropriate procedures to follow. Candy will be provided; however, if you would like to donate, you may drop off any candy at the office. Thank you for considering! Go Rustlers!
Fill out the survey here!
Families- check your email if you volunteered for a time this week, March 6th!
Attendance Reminder
We had a goal to have no more than 18 days where 10% or more of our student population was absent for semester 2. Unfortunately, with the increase of illness that occurred at the beginning of the semester, we had 22 days of 10% absences. Our focus for the remainder of the year is to have students present if they are well. We will focus no more than 35 days of 10% absences by the end of the semester. Please work with the main office if your child is experiencing struggle to attend school consistently so we can work collaboratively to help your child.

School Drop Off/Pick Up
- Transportation will follow arrow route to the section titled “Student Drop off/pick up”.
- Students must wait in car until their vehicle reaches a drop off point.
- Student exits onto sidewalk and enters the “Student Holding Zone”
- If a student bikes, walks or uses MET bus for transportation to school, they need to use the sidewalk along the building to meet others in the back by Exit 10.
- Students may enter the cafeteria to eat breakfast as early as 7:40 am.
- Bussing and visitor parking is located at the main entrance.
- In the event of inclement weather, all students will be let into the building after 7:40 am.
- Avoid parking and waiting to drop your child off in the pull through line. This causes vehicles to back up, not allowing other students to be dropped off appropriately.
- Avoid cutting across the parking lot to prevent accidents with pedestrians and other vehicles.
- For additional parking, you may use Belvedere, Lewis Avenue, 30th Street, Meadow View, or the LDS parking lot.
- Encourage your student to use necessary cross walks on busy streets and be mindful of all traffic. We ask the cooperation of students and parents so that problems can be avoided.
- It is important to communicate with your student where they will be picked up at the end of the day.
- At the end of the day, students need to use the main entrance to exit.
